We got to Wrigley Field by taking the Red Line L from downtown to the Addison L station. These are the rooftop seats on Sheffield Avenue behind right field.
The game was sold out, and for the first time we had to pay someone for tickets, $20 for $36 seats.
We got to our seats near the end of the third inning.
Babe Ruth played down there.
The famous scoreboard, rooftop seats, and bleachers during the 7th inning stretch.
A couple of more shots as we walked around the ball park.
Gregg's (Mr. Chicago's) parents (Helen and Marvin Fields) live north of Chicago in Deerfield. We were lucky to have dinner with them.
After dinner, we drove 120 miles to South Bend Indiana. On Saturday, we will tour Notre Dame before we drive to Detroit for the Pirates - Tigers game. At 1:30 p.m. eastern however, we will be somewhere watching the England - USA World Cup soccer game. Go USA (the biggest upset in World Cup history was 1950's USA 1-0 victory over England). Wishing for deja vu.
