Day 31: Delightful Day with Debi in Portland

Day 31 was about daughter Debi and this magnificent mountain, Mt. Hood, which is about 50 miles east of Portland and can be seen from over 100 miles away in any direction.

We are at Trillium Lake, which is about 7 miles southeast of Mt. Hood.

The lake is surrounded by a 2 mile trail or path. We walked around the whole lake. It was very beautiful and scenic.

We then drove to the Timberline Lodge which is about half way up Mt. Hood at an elevation of 6000 feet.

Here are Jeannie and Debi conspiring.

Fortunately, they missed.

Enjoying the view.

After Mt. Hood, we went to the farmers' market in Debi's northeast Portland neighborhood and got some great ingredients for dinner -- salmon, broccoli, carrots, strawberries, and molasses ginger cookies.

The dinner and the day with Debi were wonderful. We saw some of the best scenery of the trip and definitely had the best meal. Debi and Jeannie prepared a wonderful meal.
Tomorrow, Maui, and we will miss Debi.
