Day 2 Continued: Chicago Cubs vs Cincinnati Reds

June 7: Tuesday Evening
We began by walking from our hotel to Cincinnati's famous Fountain Square and we ate at the Rock Bottom Brewery -- very good.

Jeannie at the fountain in Fountain Square.

The is my favorite bridge.  It is the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge that connects Covington, Kentucky and Cincinnati Ohio.  Built in 1866 and designed by Roebling, the man who designed the Brooklyn Bridge, this Cincinnati bridge was the longest in the world when it was finished.

This couple with us, Paula and Kenny came across from Kentucky to watch the game.  They supplied us with game tickets at a very very reasonable price.  We sure appreciated it and enjoyed meeting and visiting with them.
The National Anthem was sung beautifully by this school choir.
The mascots love Jeannie.  This is the Rosie Redlegs, one of the Reds mascots.  I see a resemblance.
Missed the opening pitch, but this is the second pitch.
7th inning stretch and "Take Me Out To The Ball Game"
This group is congregating at home plate because the Reds Miguel Cairo just hit a GRAND SLAM HOME RUN.  The Reds beat the Cubs 8-2 and the Cincy fans go home happy.

Plus the mighty Mavericks just won.
