Day 10: Mets at Tampa Rays

Just got to St. Petersburgh (Tropicana Field -- home of the Tampa Rays)

First stop- Five Guys

Best seats ever, 4th row behind the plate.

Coming into St. Pete.

Mets' Jason Bay heading to home after hitting a home run in the 2nd

After 8 Mets runs in just 4 innings, Rays Skipper Joe Maddon takes out starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson. Sadness in St. Pete.

7th Inning Stretch, Mets 8, Rays 4.

Jeannie with Rays mascott Raymond

Mets win 9 to 6, but Rays have the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th with 2 out. A grand slam would win it, but alas, the Mighty Casey (Ben Zobrist) struck out. No joy in Tampa--St. Pete.

However, after the game, the kids got to run the bases.

This is our section's usher, Earnie. He gets to watch 81 games plus playoffs from behind the plate, and he loves it

Farewell to the Rays. He is playing Sanford and Son. I must be Fred.
